Worked example
With Length per bar = 12, Number of bars = 1:

- Weight per metre: 0.888 kg/m
- Per bar (12 m): 10.7 kg
- Number of bars: 1
Formula: weight (kg/m) = diameter² / 162.2, the standard thumb rule for round steel bars.
