Before you start
Signed, password-protected, encrypted, attached-file and form PDFs are not supported. Rewriting can damage signatures or interactive features. Never use this for a document whose exact original must be preserved.
Can I reduce a PDF to 100 KB or 200 KB?
Choose the target and compare the result. Multi-page scans and detailed images may not reach 100 KB, 200 KB, 500 KB or 1 MB while staying readable. No target is guaranteed.
Which method should I use?
Use structure optimization for text/vector PDFs. Use scan mode only for a copy where image-only pages and lower quality are acceptable. Files already optimized may not shrink.
What if the new file is larger?
The tool offers the original unchanged instead. It never pads a file to meet a target or labels an oversized result as successful.
KB and MB units
Here 1 KB = 1,000 bytes and 1 MB = 1,000,000 bytes. A submission portal may use a different limit. Check its exact requirement.
Privacy and device limits
Processing happens on your device. Page count, memory limits, stop requests or unsupported files may prevent a result. Keep your original and check page count, text, links and readability after downloading.
